Job Purpose:

Supervise and lead all activities associated with Material Review Board functions and Receiving Inspection team functions.

Nature of Duties:

  • Supervise and lead MRB and NCMR plant responsibilities.
  • Supervise the team of IQA/IQC inspectors - to provide them with guidance on the methods for testing, evaluating, and documenting all the incoming material to ensure incoming parts are inspected per an SPC approach utilizing Gage R&R, GD&T with CMM, Calipers, Pin Gauge tools, etc.
  • Take ownership of the MRB area and NCMR database processes. Train other area users on procedure consistency and best practices
  • Manage and communicate MRB/NCMR metrics/quality reports to key stakeholders.
  • Drive MRB inventory area to meet QMS compliance requirements and alignment with corporate NCMR database.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Production, Planning, Engineering and Material teams to identifypriorities and resolve open issues.
  • Manage the execution and Process dispositional material - Return to Vendor/suppliers (RTV), Scrap, use as is (UAI). Rework etc. according to the procedures.
  • Drive improvements for the overall flow of material through the MRB process and receipt inspection areas.
  • Manage material transfers (MTs) to transfer material from MRB to production, stockroom, shippingand record transactions in Oracle as needed to preserve traceability and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate closure of WIP, Stock, and all other applicable purges and NCMRs (Non conformingmaterial reports).
  • Works closely with Sr. Warehouse Manager and team on inventory cycle counts and yearly physical counts.
  • Works closely with Quality Engineers for dispositioning of NCMRs and getting signatures for sign-offs
  • Responsible for daily move ticket Items (non-conforming materials from Production Floor)
  • Perform Internal Audits as required for ISO Certifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Minimum Education: Engineering degrees are preferred or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Experience of supervision of direct reports and remote facilityis preferred.
  • 5+ years of related work experience as an MRB Coordinator or RI Coordinator in a regulated industry.
  • Experience with GD&T, Gauge R&R, and CMM materials measurement skills. Six Sigma, Lean Mfg. experience a plus.
  • Good knowledge of metrology and plastics characteristics
  • Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, FDA 820 QSR, ISO 13485, or other Quality Systems
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary Range(annual): $65,000 - $90,000
