Technology & Systems Department

The Technology & Systems department drives technological innovation for the company and advances the technology strategy to support global growth. This includes IT, Software Development, and business process improvement. At Vantage, we are very hands on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes, so we can make informed purchase decisions. The Technology & Systems department participates in designing each of our new data center building's networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross connect panels...), wireless AP coverage, etc.

We rely on extreme collaboration with Sales, Construction, Operations and Corporate Functions to drive simplification, establish global standards with continuous improvement and speed to value. We are working to build a reliable, scalable, sustainable, and secure technology roadmap/landscape that enables us to better serve our customers and employees and be the partner of choice. Our focus is on speed to value with financial and execution discipline. We strive to double the good, halve the bad, in half the time.

Position Overview

Vantage is looking for an experience and detailed orientated Senior Manager, IT Digital Product Applications, Global to lead, build, and support a team of Technical Project Managers, Project Managers and Business System Analysts to support and manage multiple COTs products and custom applications. The IT Digital Products team includes the following IT areas: Enterprise Architecture, Custom Digital Solutions, Integrations, Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Advanced analytics, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). An individual that is highly detailed, highly collaborative, led as a Product Owner, built project management processes, built product development strategies/roadmaps, built organizational change management strategies processes, has technical depth to help solution for business processes, willing to "think creatively" mentality and is accountable is key to our success.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the Digital Products technology strategy and roadmap for platforms supporting our Enterprise Solutions applications (Marketing, Commercial, Sales, Customer Experience, Internal Communications, Finance and Custom Applications).

  • Improve Strategic Collaboration between partners, aligning projects timelines across Technology Solutions and Business Customers while practicing a standard Agile delivery practice across the business, development, and operation teams.

  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of junior to senior level Technical Project Managers, Project Managers and Business System Analysts, while also participating within team meetings, sprint planning, sprint demos and overall Agile Methodology practices.

  • Generate Product Roadmaps, Timelines, and crucial reports to keep your team delivering on time and within budget.

  • Manage Software Budgets, Software Licensing and 3rd Party Vendors and Contractors.

  • Ensure the team is following standard processes from business engagement, meeting cadence, development, security, automation, customer experience, documentation, training, and application adoption.

Duties

  • Collaborate with business partners (Global and Regional) to find opportunities, gather requirements, prioritize, create cases, and build products with speed to value.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and costs of existing technology and systems, research new or alternative solutions, and make recommendations to senior management as appropriate.

  • Prioritize, assign, and lead program / project backlogs supporting business goals; ensure delivery of projects on time and in budget.

  • Incorporate standard methodologies to improve existing methods and processes iteratively improving user experience.

  • Build discipline and rigor in projects to consistently deliver on time, in budget while meeting expectations.

  • Develop and implement change management policies to reduce risk and negative impact to the business.

  • Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with functional leadership across the organization as well as vendors to ensure that technology solutions are effective and in alignment with functional and interpersonal needs.

  • Develop and mentor team members and future leaders.

  • Keep abreast of the newest technologies/trends and how they can be applied to current and future business needs.

  • Establish standards of performance and supervise conformance for both staff and strategic partners.

  • Ensure technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Develop, monitor, and report on departmental technology key performance indicators.

  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a company-designated office or field location.

  • Understand and align with the company's Acceptable Use Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

  • Serve as the Domain Expert (SME) on applications and processes for the functional area.

  • Review end user training documenting and assist in training.

  • Bring a positive, encouraging and learning attitude every day.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Design and Delivery, Product Ownership, Software Development and Software/Integration Architecture is required.

  • Experience with Design Thinking, Agile Methodology, Cloud Architectures, Custom Applications, Digital Transformation, IoT Telemetry Data, and SCADA system.

  • Knowledge of Business Process Improvement, LEAN, Six Sigma, and Software Development Lifecycle would be nice to have.

  • A Learn all versus Know all mentality to help collaborate and build knowledge within the team.

  • Data Center experience and knowledge of SCADA systems is strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Travel required is expected to be 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details:

  • Salary Range: $ 160,000 - $175,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
