POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Analyst & AI Specialist will provide analysis for business decision making, provide options for consideration and make recommendations on strategy for Operations and Supply Chain at MiMedx.

Through execution of analysis, this position will investigate artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data analytics, and apply these technologies to optimize decision making. Analysis will include trending of supply chain materials, process performance in manufacturing and customer behavior for supply planning, cost optimization, inventory control and capacity management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall Duties:

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess supply chain data from various sources, including ERP systems, sensors, and IoT devices.
  • Design and implement predictive models, optimization algorithms, and forecasting techniques to improve demand planning, inventory management, and logistics optimization.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in supply chain data.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data science strategies to drive business growth and innovation within Cloud environments.
  • Deploy AI solutions into production environments and integrate them with existing supply chain systems and workflows.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and interoperability with enterprise systems.
  • Conduct research on state-of-the-art AI and ML techniques applicable to supply chain management.
  • Develop and prototype AI algorithms and models tailored to specific supply chain & manufacturing challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
  • Monitor the performance of AI-driven supply chain solutions and continuously evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization through advanced analytics and algorithm tuning.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on AI models to address evolving business needs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in AI, ML, and supply chain management.
  • Share knowledge and insights with colleagues through training sessions, workshops, and technical presentations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to monitor business performance and inform decision-making, utilizing Azure Data Explorer, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits and limitations of AI/ML models and capabilities to a variety of stakeholders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, Master's degree in Business, or equivalent
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in developing AI/ML solutions for supply chain optimization in manufacturing & regulated industries.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Expert level knowledge of:

  • Statistical analysis, optimization techniques, and time series forecasting methods.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of 21 CRF Part 11 compliance, GxP & GAMPS

WORK ENVIRONMENT/EXPECTED BUSINESS TRAVEL:

The work is typically performed in a normal office environment. Role routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel will be less than 25%.
