Job Description

Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.

We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our team at Streamlit, an open-source Python framework for data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and developers to create and share dynamic data apps - in only a few lines of code.

As a Product Marketing Manager for Streamlit Open Source, your role will be to build and execute a scalable strategy to grow and nurture a thriving open source community of Streamlit users. Your focus will be on crafting initiatives that establish Streamlit as an active destination for both new and existing developers.

Our ideal candidate has tangible experience marketing to developers (maybe you even used to be one!). If you're a self-starter and enthusiastic about joining a fast-paced open-source team with a knack for creatively engaging and expanding developer communities, this could be your dream job.

Candidates must be located in the Bay Area and able to go into our San Mateo office 3 days per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own various GTM launch efforts to grow monthly active users of Streamlit (craft new messaging and promotional copy, set goals, align stakeholders, creatively activate new/existing channels, and measure results).
  • Develop compelling messaging and drive positioning for Streamlit, informed by user research, competitive research, and a solid understanding of key use cases.
  • Collaborate with Developer Relations, Product and Engineering teams to translate technical key features, benefits, and value propositions to new data science & Python developer audiences.
  • Ensure a compelling and cohesive user journey for Streamlit users, helping drive deeper engagement of our product through a variety of technical content-blog posts, product tips, best practice guides, live streams, and more
  • Be an active part of the open source ecosystem rather than a marketer to the community. Meet and build relationships with Streamlit users building cool data apps for their teams, stay up to date on the latest AI/ML or data science trends to understand their motivations.
  • Collaborate with Snowflake Marketing/DevRel teams to intentionally and seamlessly introduce Snowflake products to the Streamlit community (or vice versa).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in product marketing, marketing to developers, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an intuitive understanding of what motivates developers and aligns stakeholders. You can explain complex, technical topics in a simple and approachable way.
  • Technical background. Ideally, you are a developer yourself, or have deep experience marketing developer tools, data science, or AI/machine learning products.
  • Proactively collaborative. You take action quickly while building strong relationships across the org, bringing people with different perspectives together and coming to a solution.
  • Excellent project management skills, with an uncanny ability to keep multiple work streams and cross-functional partners in sync around timelines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving. You have a knack for understanding how customers use products, identifying gaps, and proactively finding areas of opportunity.
  • Love of open-source.

Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company's confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake employees must abide by the company's data security plan as an essential part of their duties. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $126,000 - $170,100.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we're scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.

How do you want to make your impact?
