We're hiring a talented Software Engineering Manager to help build a world class Data Science and Engineering ecosystem on Snowflake. As a Software Engineering Manager for Snowpark, you will lead and expand our distributed engineering team. Together with industry-wide experts in distributed systems, database internals and engineering excellence, you will empower customers to run all their data workloads directly on top of Snowflake's industry leading engine.

Snowpark is an interface to Snowflake in different language environments, but also a platform that customers and partners build exciting applications on.

Your team will design the APIs and client libraries that data engineers, data scientists and ML practitioners will use to analyze and transform data, and build production ready workflows.

OUR IDEAL MANAGER WILL HAVE:
  • 7+ years industry experience designing and building customer-facing enterprise platforms.
  • 2+ years of software engineering management experience.
  • Strong passion for making developers highly productive.
  • A passion for technology and end-to-end ownership mindset to support your engineering team wherever needed.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral English language skills.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Bellevue, WA office.
BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
  • Experience with Data Science and Engineering
  • Experience working on database or compiler internals
  • Experience working with developer SDKs, APIs and client libraries.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
