How you'll be impactful:

The VP, Product is responsible for leading product and UX design strategy and execution for US Marketplaces at Ingenio. With a heavy focus on driving growth and innovation, this individual will lead the product offerings and align short-term objectives with a visionary long-term outlook. Grounded in user testing and data-driven insights, they will improve the user experience while moving the company toward its strategic objectives. Moreover, they will foster seamless collaboration across departments to ensure execution and alignment with overarching business goals.

This role requires a visionary thinker with a strong understanding of ecommerce and marketplace trends, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering innovative solutions. This role will have the unique ability to champion the voice of the customer and the voice of our advisors and advocate for the interests of the business.

This role will be required to be in our San Francisco office 2x/week (Tuesdays & Wednesdays).

What you'll be doing:

  • As the VP, Product, you will be a people leader and strategist for the product offerings of the organization overall
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy placing high value on business impact; driving the company's vision and strategy, defining where the product is headed and why it matters
  • Lead the product management and UX design teams in executing a product roadmap aligned with company objectives
  • Continuously refine product management processes to foster seamless collaboration and innovation
  • Develop effective product and UX design teams, mentoring people and fostering a culture of excellence
  • Guide team decision-making while being accountable for the "why" and desired business outcomes
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and understanding
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform product strategy and identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Leverage data analysis and consumer insights to drive informed product decisions and strategic improvements
  • Monitor performance metrics against company goals to improve outcomes
  • Establish workflows to improve operational efficiency and product development cycles
  • Take ownership of product metrics, translating them into actionable goals that drive continuous improvement and innovation
  • Work closely with executive leadership to define and manage the product management budget
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet strategic objectives and maximize return on investment

What you'll need to be successful:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in senior product leadership roles having people management experience, preferably within a marketplace or the ecommerce industry
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate a data-driven approach to product leadership, leveraging insights to make informed decisions
  • Exhibit confidence in navigating both B2B and B2C environments, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by each
  • Articulate a clear vision, with a proven ability to execute strategic initiatives that drive measurable results
  • A track record of success in leading high-performing product management teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
  • Embrace innovation while benchmarking against industry standards, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and adaptability
  • Communicate effectively and mentorship skills to inspire and empower team members.

Pay Transparency:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $200,000-$275,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
