Key Qualifications
- 5+ years work experience with design, development, and/or testing of control systems in electromechanical features or products
- Skilled in the development, theory, design, modeling and implementation of motion control algorithms, electric motors, and support power electronics with emphasis on servo control and actuation systems
- Experienced in state-space design, traditional controls methods (PID, observer/compensator) and modern control techniques such as MPC/LQR
- Experience in both linear and non-linear estimation
- Strong in data analytics, root cause analysis with emphasis on data introspection
- Proficiency with source control (eg. Git) on multi-developer projects
- Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems
- Experience in motor control algorithms related to field oriented control (FOC) of motors is a plus
- Hands-on experience prototyping control algorithms and demonstrating capability at an executive level in rapid prototyping for actuated systems

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
