Senior Financial Analyst

San Mateo, CA

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning & analysis as part of the Global Corporate Planning team. Key tasks include data validation, process improvement, reporting, project support, process maintenance and providing analysis that contribute to better business decisions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support consolidation process by performing data validation to keep data integrity.
  • Monthly support of data loading into financial system.
  • Prepare consolidated reporting for P&L, HC, CapEx / fixed asset tracking, and other KPI's.
  • Develop and support asset detail tracking in financial tool for internal teams and department owners.
  • Project support: Conduct process improvement studies and model building in Finance tool to improve efficiency.
  • Support our overall annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
  • Maintenance of financial tool (e.g., formula setting) and report building to support business insights.
  • Develop thoughtful analysis and deliver key insights that support strategic decision making.
  • Analyze data - provide recommendations, challenge assumptions.
  • Recommend ways to automate reporting and streamline processes. Support globalization efforts.
  • Other ad hoc analysis as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Sophisticated proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and financial tools.
  • Detail oriented with passion in process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills across various levels including senior leadership.
  • Takes initiative and ownership to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Ability to multitask and deliver against daring timelines.
  • Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge/understanding of accounting and financial documents.
  • Strong curiosity about internet and/or media & entertainment industries.
  • Minimum 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • SAP, Workday, Domo and/or Adaptive experience a plus.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$138,600$208,000 USD
