The Opportunity

The Adobe Podcast team is looking for an API-focused Senior Software Engineer with a passion for creating great product experiences. Be part of a tightly knit team developing groundbreaking innovations in the world of audio on the web and help define the future of this medium as it takes over the world.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the engineering team headquartered in New York City

  • Be a key contributor to the design and implementation of APIs for Adobe Podcast

  • Discover, plan and implement integrations with other Adobe-internal services to enable rapid product development

  • Work with Adobe Research to deploy, maintain and monitor APIs for ML models.

  • Whatever it takes to ensure the success of our API offerings: while that will mostly involve writing code, it will also involve writing documentation, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders and digging into tooling/systems to discover technical options.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience

  • 5+ years of experience focused on integrations and/or API services

  • Strong experience in Ruby and/or Python

  • Strong experience in automated testing and monitoring systems (New Relic, Datadog, etc).

  • Comfortable taking technical ownership of product initiatives that can span multiple teams and services

  • Extensive experience leading the diagnosis and resolution of issues across distributed systems

  • Comfortable pair-programming and experience on teams with thorough code review. We value learning and growing together.

  • Bonus: Passion for and experience with audio-related products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $124,000 -- $234,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
