In concert with the Global Strategy, manage and scale the Americas distribution model for both product and service logistics that primarily includes inbound/outbound transportation, finished goods and time critical warehousing, and international trade operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead organization of skilled logisticians and develop a strong talent pipeline across the AMS Region. Ensure talent growth within critical roles to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
  • In concert with the Global Strategy, manage and scale the AMS distribution model for both product and service logistics that primarily includes inbound/outbound transportation, finished goods and time critical warehousing, and international trade operations.
  • Oversee and manage strategic third-party contract logistics partnerships to help drive consistent performance across the geos and scale efficiently in developing growth markets
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Field Operations teams to drive system and operational improvements that will improve delivery performance and/or lower logistics costs as a percentage of revenue
  • Align upstream with supply chain to ensure that materials and sub-assemblies from our supply base are delivered on time and in the accurate quantity to our factories and regional distribution facilities
  • Work closely with indirect procurement to implement long term solutions with strategic logistics suppliers that both optimize performance and drive costs savings for the organization
  • Actively spearheadand support cross functional efforts associated with the implementation and integration of processes and shared KPI's such as perfect order index
  • Prepare annual budgets, identify and quantify strategic initiatives in close collaboration with Finance, and actively communicate changes in forecasts due to unforeseen events in order volumes, supply chain disruptions, etc.
  • Develop, leverage, and share documented quality procedures and "best practice" methodologies across the Siemens Healthineers distribution network to drive continuous improvements in all aspects of distribution and order fulfilment operations.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement across the organization in alignment with strategic objectives and expectations from stakeholders

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability and confidence to lead people in all regions and time zones
  • Strong executive presence with ability to oversee, message and partner across and up organization
  • Effective interpersonal and negotiating skills, ability to influence others, conflict resolution and facilitation skills to successfully carry out their responsibilities
  • Extensive logistics experience across transportation, warehousing, and international trade within the AMS region.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent, Masters Degree preferred.
  • 15 years of related experience and 10 years of management experience in healthcare, medical technology, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Certified member of APICS a plus

The base pay range for this position is

Min $154,600 - Max $278,100

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
