POWER PLANT - SR. UTILITY DISTRIBUTION MANAGER -

PLANNING

• Plan and schedule maintenance and repairs for distribution system to ensure safety to employees and the public and reliability of service to customers.

• Plan customer service activities in order to respond to customer calls for problems, high bills, and other service-related activities.

• Plan for new business construction based on input from marketing and other departments.

• Plan for reconstruction to improve distribution system steam flow.

• Plan for inventory of materials and supplies to ensure prompt response to problems without maintaining excessive inventories.

• Provide construction expertise to marketing to insure safe, cost-effective service installations and modifications.

• Meet with customers and others to provide information on company standards, policies and procedures for steam distribution and supply.

• Plan work to be done by company personnel and work to be done by contractors.

• Oversee preparation of bid packages for contractor work to be done on our facilities.

• Plan and oversee outside service work to maximize income to company.

CONTROLLING

• Decide daily work assignments for all distribution personnel to meet maintenance, customer service, new business, and outside service requirements.

• Prioritize work assignments to best meet needs of customers and company.

• Provide support to plant operations as needed.

• Respond to customer requests regarding problems and or concerns.

• Be "on call" for system and customer emergencies during non-business hours.

MONITORING

• Supervise daily distribution operations and crew activities.

• Supervise the work of contractors performing work the company.

• Supervise employee work to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.

• Supervise monthly meter reading for billing purposes.

• Meet with prospective customers and contractors to coordinate installation of new facilities.

• Provide support to distribution welding, pipefitting, troubleshooting and overall labor when necessary.
