Our practice is located in the plaza of a mixed-use residential and business center at a BART station in Oakland near Alameda. The practice owner lives two blocks from the beach in Alameda, bikes to work, and enjoys watersports on his days off. Redwood Park and its network of hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding trails is twenty minutes away in the Oakland hills. San Francisco and Berkeley are both easily accessible by BART. The area offers a wide variety of cultural, recreational, outdoor, and special-interest activities. About the Opening
Fruitvale Optometry is seeking a third doctor to join our well-established, thriving, community-oriented private practice in Oakland. Part-time available immediately. A constant stream of referrals from local hospitals, county programs, public clinics, private doctors, and pediatricians allow us to practice full-scope medical optometry in addition to routine refractions. We provide both elective and medically necessary contacts. State of the art equipment, including Optos, OCT, HFA, fully-automated refraction system and an in-house finishing lab capable of making same-day glasses. Highly customized EHR allows fast charting and coding so you can spend more time with patients and less with computers. Our dedicated team of 6-7 fully bilingual ophthalmic techs and opticians on every shift provide robust support.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic doctor who is passionate about serving a diverse community, takes pride in working closely with the optical, and enjoys the clinical challenge of pathology. As roughly half of our patients are Spanish speaking. We are willing to mentor a new grad or work with a more experienced doctor who is ready to challenge their skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed in California
- Clinical Spanish preferred.
