Overview

Supporting Community Healthcare is a rewarding role. LifeLong Medical Care is looking for a Clinic Compliance Specialist at our Jenkins Health Center in Richmond, CA. The Clinic Compliance Specialist together with the Center Director, oversees compliance, lab, and immunization activities and is responsible for ordering, receiving and ensuring stocking of supplies. LifeLong uses team-based care to provide the most efficient and effective care to our patients. This position functions as a critical member of the care team, ensuring team communication, quality care, and patient satisfaction.

This is a full time, benefit eligible position, working 40 hours/week. Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.

Benefits

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

In accordance with LifeLong Medical Care's commitment to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, we have adopted a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine Policy to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our patients and visitors; and the community at large from infectious diseases, that vaccinations may reduce. This policy will comply with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Order of the California State Public Health Officer. Unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved, all employees must receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

Responsibilities
    Oversees all clinic compliance needs, clinic lab operations, employee safety, OSHA, fire safety, emergency & disaster preparedness & compliance, N95 testing, TB testing
  • Oversees and coordinates clinic audits and response
  • Coordinates Immunizations, uses the CAIR data base
  • Monitors and addresses vaccine storage, refrigerator & freezer compliance
  • Acts as VFC and VFA Champion, helps ensure site compliance with the program
  • Teaches MA's to give immunizations per LMC policies, autoclaving, stocking principles
  • EWC reporting as assigned
  • Participates in the Vaccine Subcommittee and CQI.
  • Orders and receives vaccines, medications, and other supplies, coordinates repairs
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Center Director.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a positive, friendly manner.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with MS Office applications and EHR.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player with staff and volunteers.
  • Interest in working in community-based setting.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid California driver's license, automobile, and automobile liability insurance.
  • Experience with electronic health records, specifically Epic, strongly preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Two or more years' experience working in a community clinic setting preferred.
  • Current California Licensed Nurse or MA preferred.
