Opportunity to be part of Gallo's East Coast expansion supporting a new faciility from the ground up! As the Operations Training Manager you willmanage the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Gallo's South Carolina training standards, policies, procedures, and tools. You will lead Operations and Supply Chain training engagements across all Gallo South Carolina sites, including the sharing of specific safety-related training processes and best practices. This is a key role and will serve as primary liaison to South Carolina educational agencies and lead educational outreach and internship programs. You will lead the design, development, adoption, and on-going evaluation of South Carolina state and DOL registered apprenticeship programs. You will work with leadership to manage relations with executive level sponsors and key stakeholders for purposes of successful implementation of large-scale and complex training programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Supports Gallo eastern operations, develops, gains sponsorship, and implements an effective vision/strategy for the implementation of large-scale interdepartmental and high performance work team training programs through strong and effective leadership.
  • Serves as primary liaison for education and training services provided by state and government agencies, for multiple sites, across multiple states.
  • Evaluates and recommends training programs that provide cost-efficient operation, efficient use of resources, and effective learning outcomes, for multiple sites.
  • Facilitates the identification of appropriate learning and skill development methods (i.e., individual training, group instruction, workplace on the job training (OJT), simulation-based learning, e-enabled learning, etc.) based on thorough needs analyses of training needs.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates site(s) training programs in support of the incumbent workforce and new hires.
  • Oversees the effective delivery of small to large-scale and complex performance-based training programs.
  • Leads the development and adoption of state and DOL registered apprenticeship programs and oversees execution of these programs to ensure high quality and compliance with apprenticeship standards.
  • Works with local high schools, community colleges, professional associations, consortiums, and other educational institutions for purposes of establishing internship, apprenticeship, and other mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Develops, coaches, and mentors subordinate staff

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience supporting the development and implementation of training programs in operations and supply chain environments reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; ORHigh School diploma plus 9 years of experience supporting the development and implementation of training programs reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisory or management experience within a production/operations environment.
  • Intermediate level MS Excel skills
  • Required to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license, or appropriate state driver's license, within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Education, or Adult Education, plus 4 years of experience implementing corporate training programs in a production/operations environment, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Operations Management concentration plus 6 years of experience implementing corporate training programs in a production/operations environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Association for Talent Development (ATD) CPTD certification.
  • Preference for individuals located in Chester County, South Carolina or adjacent areas.
